PERMANENT EYEBROWS FAQ'S.
The cost of each procedure can be found on the Book Appointment page.
Ombre brows, Powder brows, or Combination brows, all of which may include the use of the digital machine, and Microblading/Hairstroke are ideal for anyone wanting to enhance the look of his or her eyebrows. You and I will determine the best technique for you and as well as the pigment color suited for your skin & skin undertones to match your eyebrow color. If the eyebrows are still present this will blend perfectly into them. The results are very realistic. This procedure IS permanent and can't be removed without additional procedures that I do not perform at this time.
To keep discomfort to a minimum, anesthetic creams are used before and during the procedure. The entire process takes approximately 60–90 minutes and there is little down time. The area will swell slightly and may appear inflamed for a short time. I recommend you allow 20 days healing time before your next big event or special photographs.
Is it safe?
It is very safe, as it uses only vegetable dye which is natural and organic. All instruments that enter the skin or come in contact with body fluids are sealed and sterilized before use and disposed of after use. Cross contamination guidelines are strictly adhered to.
Is it painful?
Usually the first thing everyone wants to know is whether this hurts and if so, how painful is it? Pain ranges from zero to a very slight uncomfortable feeling. Anesthetics work better on some people than others. The overall sensation is like your eyebrows are being brushed. This may vary according to an individual’s pain threshold. Many customers fall asleep, as they feel nothing during the process.
Are these procedures for everyone?
Pregnant, nursing and anyone under the age of 18 will not be considered for tattooing. Insulin dependent and individuals on blood thinners are not good candidates for permanent makeup. People with VERY oily skin may not be good candidates for some procedures, as they may not do well with pigment retention. Please let me know if any of these apply.
What colors are available?
A wide range of colors are available to complement your skin tone and hair color.
How long does it last?
Permanent cosmetics do fade over time. All color fades and your cosmetic tattoo will require maintenance. The amount of fading depends on several variables including medications you are on and topical treatments, but is primarily due to sun (ultra-violet) exposure; therefore measures should be taken to protect your permanent cosmetics from the sun, tanning beds etc. All procedures are done with one of the best pigment lines in the world.
The cosmetics implantation technique deposits color pigment into the upper layer of the skin. It’s called permanent because it can’t be washed off & some of those pigment molecules stay in the skin forever. Unlike traditional tattoos performed on the body, permanent cosmetics professionals do not use traditional tattoo ink . Permanent cosmetics pigment has a larger molecule, is more delicate and designed to work with the skin’s undertones and to mimic hair. Every person’s skin is different regarding pigment retention.
Factors which affect longevity of permanent cosmetics are: color selected, age, thickness of skin, scarring of skin, use of skin care products, injectables, laser treatments, medication and sun exposure. You will need periodic refreshing of color, depending on how light the shade of implanted pigment was, as well as factors mentioned above.
Touch ups are recommended once a year to boost color and to prevent natural fading. Staying on top of your color boosts will keep you from having to start over completely & have to pay for a new procedure in full.
Permanent makeup done by another person is not considered touch-up. Please call for a consult.
